… And Now, Conference Planning, Worldwide
FAF led, directed or facilitated conferences in 2008 – 2010 that included “Women, Water, and Food Security” and the 2009 VGIF Friendship Tour in Calcutta (see quote below), “The Convocation on the Rights of the Child” for the Vatican, and of course the large, successful “Youth Assembly at the United Nations™”, at UN Headquarters in August 2010. FAF staff have also contributed their time as conference subcommittee co-chairs to large UN conferences in Paris (UNESCO), Mexico City, and Melbourne, Australia between 2008-2010.
Why Choose FAF?
FAF: The only nonprofit travel solutions managers with your interests in mind. No fees to the organization; indemnification for protection; tax deductions; 40 years of expertise. Safety, security, and even development assistance.
That is the FAF difference
The Foundation's history includes significant collaborations to help heal families of victims of terror, with a strong focus on 9/11 families in particular. The project was titled Finding New Hope in 2002 and has received substantial funding from Rotary International, Hitachi, Kids for Kids 2001, the Wall, Ceiling and Carpenters Union, and signature funding of over $1M from the Lions Clubs International Foundation.
"2010 marks a decade of our work with Friendship Ambassadors, an infinitely imaginative, flexible, hard working and communicative organization dedicated to peace through cultural exchange.
Thanks to the truly global perspective and expertise of the FAF staff and administration, my colleagues and I at West Virginia Wesleyan College have been able to develop a meaningful curriculum abroad during the past ten years. We now have a solid reputation in our region — among students, parents, and alumni — for genuinely educational and deeply memorable sojourns in The Republic of Ireland and in East Central Europe.
For any project involving the education of young people abroad in the twenty-first century we can certainly recommend without reservation the skill, breadth of vision, and ever evolving, comprehensive contacts, of Friendship Ambassadors."
– Dr. Devon McNamara, Professor of English, West Virginia Wesleyan College August 2010
"Many thanks to FAF for the exemplary planning and cooperative implementation of the 2009 VGIF Friendship Tour celebrating our 40th Anniversary. The trip combined the high points of seeing the sights with the gratifying experience of meeting with our colleagues and grantee partners in Nepal and India, topped off with a conference in Kolkata focusing on women, water, and food security. FAF and their local partner's attentive and responsive efforts to the changing requirements/challenges of the economic crisis and security concerns during the registration process were most professional and thorough, resulting in a trip that was truly memorable for all participants."
– Fay Kittelson, Executive Director, Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund August 2010
"The success of the first ever Lasallian Convocation at the United Nations on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was possible because of the organizational guidance and support of Friendship Ambassadors Foundation. FAF staff ably served us from the beginning of our planning until the very end of our gathering."
– Ernest J. Miller, FSC Associate Director for Mission & Ministry Brothers of the Christian Schools
"I am quite overwhelmed with pride to read the amount of effort you have made on behalf of our trip. You have a true concept of what diplomacy involves and effect it repeatedly."
– John McIntyre, Tour Coordinator, Greenwich Choral Society June 2008
"First of all, let me tell you that the tour was Wonderful! We couldn’t have asked for better more receptive audiences. I know very well that it takes a team to make something like this come to fruition. So THANK YOU ALL, FAF!"
– Kim Clayton, Founder and Director Clayton Productions August 2008
