HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
Internships, Volunteers

Friendship Ambassadors Foundation offers the opportunity for individual participants to join in, volunteer for, and support its global projects. Get involved in the following:

2009:

• WOMEN, WATER, AND FOOD SECURITY CONFERENCE - November 18 - 21, 2009
In collaboration with the Indian Federation of University Women Association. Highlights include a Visit to the Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund’s Project Five-O Calcutta. Conference: with optional extensions to Delhi, Agra, Rajastan and Calcutta, and to Kathmandu and Chitwan in Nepal. Click here for more and to sign up.

2010:

• UNIVERSITY FOR PEACE, THE UN MANDATED UNIVERSITY – Cost Rica Campus, January
Hosting the FAF Millennium Development Leaders Programme, a certificate course. Click here for more and to sign up.

• UNIFEM – Support and exploration tour. Visit active UNIFEM sites, take a tour of the University for Peace campus, see the mountains and sea in lovely Costa Rica, February 

• CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD CONFERENCE – The Lasallian Brothers bring high school students to the United Nations for a programme elaborating on the Rights of the Child, endorsed by the Holy See (Vatican) Mission to the UN, Facilitated by FAF, April 

• 7th ANNUAL YOUTH ASSEMBLY @ THE UNITED NATIONS & LEADERSHIP SEMINAR 
Assembly @ UN Headquarters; Leadership Seminar @ Pace University, August 
Apply early and take part in the preparations for the mid August events. Nearly 1000 global youth leaders focus on the success of the Millennium Development Goals. Planned in direct consultation with the UN Department of Public Information and the UN Programme on Youth. Reside at Pace University in New York. Apply online at: www.faf.org, Spring 2010.

AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR:

• NEW … The Abraham Path Initiative! Walk part of the new 5000km hiking path once walked on by Abraham/Abraham in ancient days. Promote peace through sustainable tourism. Created by the Harvard Negotiating Team. FAF is the sole facilitator for this project in the USA.

• TRADITIONAL ACADEMIC & ARTS-BASED CULTURAL EXCHANGES WORLDWIDE
