Tour the Sunny Dominican Republic

If you're looking to take your performance ensemble on tour this winter or spring, why not do it somewhere warm? Bask in the sun as you share your music with the people of the Dominican Republic. Get to know the people and culture of the Dominican Republic in a truly meaningful way. Visit Puerto Plata and be transported back to the time of Columbus as you visit Fort San Felipe and learn about how Dominican history was shaped by the colonization of the Spaniards. Puerto Plata was discovered by Columbus in the early 1490s and the port was a bustling trade point for decades. Puerto Plata also has a fascinating Amber Museum that has plants and animals preserved in amber from millions of years ago. In addition to meeting with locals, learning about Dominican culture, and taking in the sights, you'll also have ample time to enjoy the beautiful beaches for which this country is best known.

Soak up the sun and culture in the Dominican Republic! (Oh, and did we tell you that it is really inexpensive, too?)

Contact Artistic Director Yin-Chu Jou at yinchu@faf.org or 1-800-526-2908 for details.
