Your Donations Mean

Local Vendors

Founded by Fulbright Scholar Harry Morgan and well respected travel professional Cappy Devlin, FAF has facilitated international travel and exchange programs as an independent foundation since 1973 - and for more than 15 years prior to that as an informal program supported in large part by Lila and DeWitt Wallace (founders, Readers Digest). Since its inception, FAF has cultivated international affiliations and representation in order to fulfill its mission: Promote Peace Through Cultural Exchange.

Everything to Us

FOR 35 YEARS, YOUR DONATIONS HAVE MEANT A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS TO US - time, money, instruments, personal commitment, and an overabundance of internships from students across the country and around the world. In their own ways, people from all walks of life have reinforced FAF's vision: Global engagement on the cultural level, devoid of business, religion and politics, helps makes the world a better, more peaceful place. Please add your name and contribution to our list of supporters, today!

and Tourism as sustainable development

Central to the work and vision of FAF is to ensure that local vendors manage local projects. Through this and actual workshops (such as 'The Road
Ahead' - see the archives), the foundation ensures that cultural exchange will be a form of local, respectful sustainable development for years to come.
